As a part of the initial class of the
Institute
of American Indian Arts (Santa Fe, NM) during the early sixties, Kevin
Red Star maintains a critical place in the definition and evolution of
contemporary Indian art. He is known for his imaginative
portraits
of Crow Indians of the 1890s. His works are included in such
noted
museum collections as the Smithsonian Institute (Washington, DC), and
the
Eiteljorg Museum (Indianapolis, IN).
The Gallery has several stone
lithgraphs, etchings
and serigraphs by Kevin Red Star.
