Brooks Henson is known for his surreal plains Indian imagery as well as his Cherokee little people paintings.  His works are based on a detailed personal knowledge of Oklahoma Cherokee history and legends.  He has won numerous awards for these works, and has been honored with one-man exhibits at the Cherokee National Museum (Tahlequah, OK), and the Five Civilized Tribes Museum (Muskogee, OK).
