Dewayne Mathews is becoming known as one of the finest print-makers in American Indian art today.  His works focus on the life and culture of Mississippians (pre-columbian mound builders of the southeast).  These works have won numerous awards in recent years, including the Eiteljorg Museum (Indianapolis, IN), and Red Earth (Oklahoma City, OK).   His works are included in the permanent collection of the Philbrook Museum of Art (Tulsa, OK).
