Do you guarantee the authenticity of every work you sell? A: Absolutely. We take great care to ensure that the works that we carry are the original work of registered members of state or federally recognized tribes (in accordance with the American Indian Arts and Crafts Act). Q: Can you provide a certificate of authenticity, or provenance with works that you sell? A: Yes, we can provide a certificate of authenticity. We can also include ownership history/provenance information, when available. Q: Do you conduct appraisals? A: We aren't doing appraisals at the time (because of the time demands involved). When considering consignments, we will often appraise works to ensure that retail prices reflect the current market. Q: Do you accept consignments? A: We do consider accepting original art/original graphics and craft on consignment basis. All works must be the original work of a registered member of a state or federally recognized tribe (in accordance with the American Indian Arts and Crafts Act). We are actively seeking works by distinguished artists, for whom a strong market currently exists. Q: I'm an artist. Would you be interested in carrying my work? A: On occasion, we do look for works by new artists, usually with an established market for their work. Artists should submit their current vita and images of their work. Include exhibits, galleries, and a copy of tribal registration. Q: Do you purchase artwork from private collections/estates? A: On occasion, we are able to work out purchase arrangements for works by distinguished artists. We are particularly interested in works by artists currently on the website. Q: Do you offer discounts, or is the price on the website firm? A: We are able to offer some flexibility in pricing to those interested in purchasing multiple works. We also offer some flexibility in pricing to those who have purchased from us before. Q: Can you arrange to speak to our school/organization about American Indian art/culture? A: Yes. We have often taken examples of artwork or cultural items to local schools and organizations, for presentations on American Indian art history. We've addressed a wide variety of groups, from pre-schools to a MENSA conference. Q: What forms of payment do you accept, and do you have a layaway policy?
