Edward Hummingbird is a contemporary
Keetoowah
painter who focuses largely on Indians of the southwest. He was
profiled in Susan Power's book "Art of the Cherokee: From
Prehistory to the Present." An
authority of 20th century American Indian painting
and graphics, he has curated several exhibitions and judged
competitions
from the festival to the museum levels. He is the brother of
noted traditional painter, Gary Hummingbird. His paintings
are included in private collections worldwide.
