Beverly Blacksheep (Navajo)
Traditional and contemporary painter.

Beverly Blacksheep is one of the foremost traditional painters active in the art world today.  Her work captures the simple beauty of Navajo life and culture.  She was strongly influenced by the early Navajo artists of the Studio (Santa Fe Indian School art program, under Dorothy Dunn) - particularly Harrison Begay and Beatien Yazz.  Her works have been published extensively and are included in many important collections across the country.

The Gallery has a limited number of paintings by Beverly Blacksheep.
